Cognitive Therapy (CT)

Cognitive Therapy

The principles of Cognitive therapy are based on the cognitive model, which states that thoughts, feelings and behaviour are all connected.  Further, it state that individuals can move toward overcoming difficulties and meeting their goals by identifying and changing unhelpful or inaccurate thinking pattern, problematic behaviour, and distressing emotional responses in life. The client develops necessary skills by identifying distorted beliefs, thinking, and behaviour relating to others in different ways, closely and collaboratively with therapist.
